Premio di Laurea “Bernardo Nobile”

Once again this year, AIDB is sponsoring the “Bernardo Nobile” Thesis Award, dedicated to theses that highlight multidisciplinary documentary research, which is being offered for the fourth year by the Consortium for the AREA of Scientific and Technological Research in Trieste.

Premio di Laurea

The Consortium for the Trieste Scientific and Technological Research AREA, with the aim of recognizing the professionalism demonstrated by its collaborator, Dr. Bernardo Nobile—formerly head of the PatLib Center at AREA Science Park—in the course of his work, and in order to promote multidisciplinary studies on the topics of patent documentation and information, annually awards the multidisciplinary undergraduate or doctoral thesis prize to theses that highlight the importance of documentary research and, in particular, the use of patents as a source of information.

The call for applications is open to those who have earned a master’s degree (under the old system) or a Ph.D. from an Italian university no more than two years prior to the application deadline, with no restrictions on age or citizenship at the time of the deadline.
The award consists of two different prizes:

  • 3,000 € (before statutory tax withholdings) for the Master’s degree or old-system degree award
  • 3,000 € (before statutory tax withholdings) for the Ph.D. graduation award.

The application for admission, prepared in accordance with the documentation attached to the call for applications, must be received by 12:00 p.m. on April 11, 2008, the deadline for the call for applications.
