2017 AIDB National Conference and Members’ Meeting

On November 17, 2017, starting at 9:00 a.m., the AIDB 2017 National Conference will be held at the headquarters of the National Research Council (CNR) in Rome on the topic“Industry 4.0 and the IoT: The Role of Patents and Patent Information.”

The conference, organized in collaboration with the CNR, is intended as an opportunity for in-depth discussion and exchange, with the aim of promoting the use of patent information and the commercialization of patents, which are considered essential tools for the technological development of Italian companies. Particular emphasis will be placed on fostering dialogue between the business sector and the scientific research community. The initiative is aimed at micro-enterprises, SMEs, researchers, and professionals.

The conference will be conducted in Italian and English.

The schedule for the 2017 AIDB Conference is as follows:

9:00 – 9:30

Participant Registration

Presentations by experts from industry and scientific research, along with representatives from internationally recognized organizations (including the European Patent Office)

13:00 – 14:00

Lunch

14:00 – 15:30

Roundtable Discussion on the Role of Patents in Industry 4.0 and the IoT

Presentation of databases and patent analysis tools by database providers

Conclusions

The event will be preceded, on November 16, 2017,by a meeting reserved for AIDB members, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This will be followed by a social dinner reserved for members, speakers, and organizers.

The conference is expected to provide continuing education credits for members of the Order of Industrial Property Consultants.
