The call for entries for the 2019 Bernardo Nobile Award—the “Undergraduate/Doctoral Award in Memory of Bernardo Nobile,”now in its 15th edition—is now open for theses that highlight patents as a source of information. The award, sponsored by the Trieste Area of Scientific and Technological Research—Area Science Park and supported by AIDB for many years now, consists of three prizes of 2,500 euros each.
Specifically, the award consists of:
- An award for a master’s thesis, a specialized thesis, or a thesis under the old system;
- An award for a doctoral dissertation;
- An award for a master’s thesis, a specialized thesis, a thesis under the old system, or a doctoral dissertation that has led to the filing of a patent application or the creation of a new company.
This call for applications is open to individuals who, no more than three years prior to the deadline for this call, have obtained a master’s degree, a specialized degree, or a degree under the old system, or a Ph.D. from an Italian university—regardless of age or citizenship—and who have highlighted the informational content of patents in their thesis.
The deadline for submitting applications is Friday, June 7, 2019.
